USDA Organic

Dr. Bronner’s products are certified organic to USDA National Organic Program (NOP) standards, the same standards consumers trust to certify their organic food. Products with more than 95% organic ingredients carry the USDA label on the front, while our castile soaps (over 70% organic) carry the “Made with Organic Oils” statement.

Oregon Tilth Certified Organic

Organic certifier Oregon Tilth is a nonprofit that promotes biologically sound & socially equitable agriculture. They are the independent certifier that certifies our products as being USDA organic.

Regenerative Organic Certified™

Regenerative Organic Certification is a holistic agriculture certification encompassing pasture-based animal welfare, fairness for farmers and workers, and robust requirements for soil health and land management. Our coconut oil is Regenerative Organic Certified, and we are working to have all our main ingredients RO certified in the coming years.

Fair for Life

Our main ingredients are certified fair trade under the Fair for Life Certification Programme which verify that ethical working conditions and fair prices are provided along our entire supply chain. Dr. Bronner’s was the first company to establish certified fair trade supply chains for coconut oil and palm oil.

EWG Verified

Dr. Bronner's Liquid Soaps, Bar Soaps, and Organic Sugar Soaps (with the exception of our Eucalyptus scent) are EWG Verified according to their standard for chemical safety. All Dr. Bronner's skin care products are rated safe in EWG's Skin Deep Database.

NSF: Personal Care Products Containing Organic Ingredients

Dr. Bronner’s All-One Toothpaste is certified to NSF/ANSI 305 standards, meaning it contains at least 70 percent certified organic ingredients but does not meet the NOP food-focused requirements due to processes and methods used in body care production.

Leaping Bunny

Dr. Bronner’s products and ingredients are never tested on animals so qualify for the Leaping Bunny logo through the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics’ (CCIC) Leaping Bunny Program.

Vegan Action

Vegan Action certifies that our vegan products do not contain any animal products or byproducts, and that no animal products are used in the manufacturing process. Only a few of our products are not vegan: our Lip Balms and Body Balms contain beeswax, and our Facial Toners (sold in Japan and Korea) contain honey.

B Corp

Certified B Corps™ are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Dr. Bronner’s is the second-highest rated B Corps in the world.

Non-GMO Project

Dr. Bronner’s products do not contain any genetically modified ingredients/organisms (GMOs). Non-GMO verification ensures that our products and ingredients are free from GMO engineering or contamination.

OK Kosher

Dr. Bronner’s Virgin Coconut Oil is certified kosher. Final products, along with our manufacturing processes, comply with a strict policy based on kosher food laws, including cleanliness, purity, and quality.
